The Cavoodle is a designer breed
Cavoodles are a mix of a Poodle and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, which technically makes them a crossbreed. The clever part is that they combine the best of both, pairing the low shed coat of the Poodle with the loving, affectionate nature of the Cavalier. They are the perfect small dog to have by your side.
They are good for allergy sufferers
The Cavoodle was bred in part to suit people with allergies, and that comes from the Poodle side. A Poodle's low shed coat often passes down to the Cavoodle, which makes them a great option for allergy sufferers, though it is worth remembering no dog is completely hypoallergenic.
They are one of the smarter breeds
A Cavoodle's cleverness comes mostly from their Poodle heritage. Poodles are among the most intelligent breeds in the world, and Cavoodles take after them nicely. That means they learn tricks and tasks easily, and it is why some go on to make excellent assistance dogs.
They do not need much space

This little breed can live around 12 to 15 years, which makes for a long friendship. That good innings owes a lot to their small size and the wider gene pool of a crossbreed, which can mean fewer of the health problems purebreds face. It does not guarantee a clean bill of health, but it helps.
They are great with children
Cavoodles are gentle dogs and lovely with kids from about six years old. They are small enough not to hurt a child during play and generally get along beautifully with them. Being quiet and affectionate towards their family, they make a wonderful family dog.
They are low maintenance
Cavoodles are easy to care for, which makes them a great first dog for new owners. A brush and bath around once a week keeps their coat looking good, and as long as they get some time outside each day, they do not need much room. For the most part, treat them like any other dog and you will not go far wrong.
