Victoria has some fantastic dog-friendly beaches, and there is nothing a Cavoodle loves more than a day by the water.
Here are some of the better rated dog beaches around the state. After a new spot to take your Cavoodle? Read on.
Hawker Beach
There are plenty of places around Victoria to take your Cavoodle, but nothing beats a good dog beach. Hawker Beach is a great choice if you want plenty of room to run around. It is one of the better off-lead beaches in the area, and the surrounding scenery is lovely, so plan on staying a few hours. It is a popular spot, so expect other dogs and come prepared.
Fossil Beach
Fossil Beach is not your typical stretch of sand. There are rocks to clamber over and steps to climb, but if you are after a quiet, tranquil spot for a swim and a paddle, it is a lovely one. There are walking trails nearby too, for anyone who would rather stay out of the water.
Sandringham Beach
This dog-friendly beach is a great spot for your Cavoodle, with sand, sun and plenty of water to splash about in. It is a good place for a walk as well, and the dog area is a big drawcard, so it is an easy way to spend an afternoon whether or not you fancy the water. Expect plenty of friendly dogs to say hello to.
Tassells Cove
Tassells Cove is another great spot for meeting other dogs, with room to run around without feeling too crowded. Parking can be tight, so getting there earlier in the day helps you nab a spot before the crowds. The beach itself is lovely, with sand and water for everyone.
Brighton Dog Beach
A larger beach than Tassells, Brighton offers more sand and ocean than most on this list. It is one of the busier dog beaches, with plenty of pups visiting each day. There are some lovely buildings nearby if you are after a scenic walk, though plenty of people come simply to unwind. Bring plenty of water, since most people stay a good while.
